The thing I appreciate most about personal training is the one on one critiquing of my form doing the various exercises. Also, all the variety of exercises we do, and your explanations of different styles helps a lot!!

Prior to working with Cassi, I had always worked out on my own, so trying personal training was stepping out of my comfort zone. I wasn’t sure if I’d be comfortable with one on one attention and having all eyes on me. I am happy to say that I have been blown away by how wonderful my experience has been with Cassi! I have been training with her for 3 years and I have seen improvements in many areas such as strength, balance, muscle tone, endurance and nutrition. While all of those things are amazing, the element that I appreciate most about my personal training is Cassi. She is truly an incredible person and someone that I have come to greatly respect, admire and value. She provides an environment filled with positivity, encouragement, laughter and fun. How has personal training affected my daily life?? Well, my training was specifically designed for me. My “mom” back has been an issue for far too long. Cassi’s immediate vision for me was to become aware of my spinal position in my everyday life…working in the kitchen, standing at church, doing chores, walking around the house and moving from here to there for daily business. Our first exercises were designed to find my neutral spine, and following that were exercises to find muscles deep in my body to wake them up while also soothing tight, tense and over-active muscles to stop taking over. I’m not joking when I say, it hurts so good. Some exercises I want to hold for a long time! This is not what I envisioned when my husband said “personal trainer”. He met Cassi at a Super Bowl party and immediately recognized it was something I needed. This isn’t a Christmas gift from him anymore. I do this to myself and for myself. That’s a mental shift I could not have imagined, and that is what has most affected my daily life. And I feel better… so much better! I can feel changes happening and it brings so much relief.

Aside from training, it has also made me much more mindful of the food choices I make. Cassi has monthly challenges that usually alternate between nutrition and fitness. Two years ago, she did a fruit and veggie challenge and we had to get 4 servings each day. Since that challenge, I am still very good (not perfect) about getting my daily servings in. The challenge made it a habit and now that habit has become part of my daily life.

My best advice for someone considering personal training is that it’s not scary and you should give it a try! If you are on the fence, I’ll be blunt… just do it or move on. Stop wasting your time thinking about it and start with what you can afford. Cassi will meet you where you are. For me, that’s at the bottom of the barrel, there is nowhere else for me to go but up. For other clients, that’s somewhere near the top of the barrel. Trust me when I say Cassi parties just as hard with me as she does with them. There is no room for judgement in her busy schedule, she’s probably already making up your personal plan. What does your life look like when you invest in it? Mine looks and feels a whole lot better.

The thing that I wish everyone understood about personal training is how much better i feel moving, and that’s hard to understand unless you experience it and put in the effort.

If I could give someone advise, I’d say…GO. FOR. IT!! Your future self will thank you! Investing in your health will never be a waste of time or money. Our health is a precious gift that we often take for granted. If you look at it from the perspective of how amazing your body is and all the things it allows you to do everyday, you’ll see it as a treasure worth protecting. Make the investment! I promise you won’t regret it!

Something I want people to know is just how much I really enjoyed my work outs with Cassi! I have worked with different trainers over the years, whether it was taking different classes or one on one time, and Cassi is one of the best!!

When you are a client of Cassi’s, you get so much more than weight training sessions. She has a group chat which is a private community of her clients where we share, support, encourage and cheer each other on. I have also found it to be very educational because Cassi shares loads of information about nutrition and recipes. In addition, Cassi is always trying to improve her business and recently started providing workshops where she teams up with other professionals to provide information on women’s health topics. All of these elements that Cassi provides greatly increase your success. She doesn’t just see you for your sessions and then you’re on your own the rest of the time. She is in constant contact with you providing education, support, encouragement and inspiration.
